Ana M Kiefer, RVT

Ana Kiefer joined Marin Pet Hospital as Practice Manager, bringing more than 26 years of experience in the veterinary medical field. A Registered Veterinary Technician, Ana combines deep clinical expertise with strong leadership skills, making her an integral part of the hospital’s continued growth and commitment to exceptional patient care.

Born in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, Ana earned her A.A.S. in Veterinary Technology from the Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology in Denver, Colorado, in 2002, along with a certification in Reproductive Medicine. Early in her career, she worked at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, where she developed a lasting passion for wildlife and zoological medicine.

Throughout her career in California, Ana has built a diverse and comprehensive background spanning general practice, dentistry, emergency and internal medicine, reproductive medicine, behavioral medicine, and zoological care. She also served as Hospital Manager at the San Francisco Zoo, where she refined her expertise in hospital operations, team leadership, and organizational development.

Ana’s professional focus centers on veterinary practice management, operational excellence, and cultivating strong, collaborative teams. She is dedicated to creating an environment where patients receive the highest quality care and staff feel supported, empowered, and inspired to succeed.

Outside of the hospital, Ana enjoys spendig time with her daughters, grandbaby, and furry babies Ami, Momo and Nana. As well hiking, coastal fishing, backpacking, photography, and performing with her bandmates from Sonoma Grove at local venues throughout Sonoma County.
